Set in the 26th century, the story takes place 300 years after a societal collapse caused by a major war. In that society, it's a technological dark age following a pinnacle of achievement far beyond where we are right now. Cyborg technology is a way of life. People are augmented a lot as workers, so being a cyborg is not unusual. The main character is a cyborg. She has an organic human brain, and she looks like she's about fourteen years old. She has a completely artificial body and she's lost her memory. She is found in a wreckage and reconstituted by a cyber-surgeon who becomes her surrogate father

I fell in love with the trailer when I first saw it which was supported by the song "Lullaby For A Soldier (Arms Of The Angels. Then I went to see the movie and fell in love with the character Alita; you'll find it difficult not to. The animation is amazing and the action sequences are exciting.
The only issue, I feel is that there is too much of the story or rather backstory left untold. Which leaves the movie very incomplete and this is further supported by the ending that leaves much to be desired.
Go watch it and most will enjoy it as long as you are into action and animation. Just don't forget to ask the creators for a trilogy.

As one who owns and read all the mangas when I was younger, the first trailer made me feel like I can skip it. It felt like ‘okay this is like the anime short movie all over again. Some of the scenes feel a little forced, and a few of the side characters really should have had a bit more development. With that said this is a great movie with great characters. You can tell everyone in this movie felt their roles, and wanted to make this movie into something special. Even with the flaws Alita Battle Angel deserves a 10 star rating, and should be scene. A shout-out to the film makers. Not only in this an incredibly well done movie, it's also a fantastic film that works by itself. This film has it all. Kickass action, next level CGI, a great set of characters, heart and depth. I've watched it 5 times by now and each time I notice more and more details that make this movie so rich and Alita such an awesome, rounded and lovable character. And the fight scenes just don't get old. It's extremely rewatchable not just for moments when the. starts hitting the fan, but I also love the slower, more character focused moments. I'll keep watching it in the cinema for as long as I still have the chance to, and I can't wait to pick up the bluray whenever it comes out. And we NEED a sequel.

Alita: battle angel release date. The fight scene flashback on the moon was so freaking epic! This movie has some much more depth than meets the eye because it's based on a manga. There's so much potential for sequels and prequels in the future.
